Day 1: Kampala to Lake Mburo
After breakfast drive to Lake Mburo national park, From Kampala it is 230km (4 hours) to the Park headquarters and rest camp at Rwonyo. The left turn to the Park is signposted at 211km from Kampala. You will enter the park through Nshara gate. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 2: game drive –Queen Elizabeth
An early morning a game drive, the park is home to herds of Impala, as well as the more uncommon Topi, Eland, and Klipspringer. Burchells Zebra and buffalo also graze these areas. Return to the lodge for late breakfast, in the afternoon you will go for a boat ride. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 3: Queen and launch cruise
You will have a morning game drive and drive to Queen arriving in time for a launch cruise along the Kazinga channel where you may spot various water birds and animals. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 4: game drive –Bwindi
After breakfast you will drive to Bwindi. You will have lunch enroute. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 5: Gorilla trekking
After breakfast you will have a briefing and after go for trekking, this could take 4-8 hours depending on the movements of the gorillas. During trekking you may spot other primates and different bird species which are good for kin bird watchers. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: Lake Bunyonyi
Have breakfast and head for Lake bunyonyi, on arrival you will go for a boat ride and visit different islands and pygmies. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 7: game drive and boat ride
Breakfast and drive to Lake mburo, on arrival you will go for a boat ride. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 8: Game drive-Kampala
An early morning a game drive, the park is home to herds of Impala, as well as the more uncommon Topi, Eland, and Klipspringer. Burchells Zebra and buffalo also graze these areas. Return to the lodge for late breakfast and lunch, the drive back to Kampala. |
