Day 1: Kampala to Murchison falls
After breakfast you will drive to Murchison falls national park. It will take you around 5hours from Kampala with about 305 km. You will enter through Kichumbanyobo gate. Paara covers a distance of about 85km from Masindi town by the shortest route. You will visit the top of the falls and then proceed to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: game drive and launch cruise
Early morning breakfast and then go for a game drive where you may spot various animal species like elephants, giraffes, lions, Uganda kobs among others. In the afternoon you will go for a launch cruise on the park’s main tourist attraction the unique Murchison Falls as well as the River Nile with its streaming hippo and serried ranges of crocodile along the sandbanks, as well as large numbers of different species getting down to drink & bathe. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 3: Murchison – Kibale National Park
Have breakfast and then drive to Kibale. This is a full day drive. You will have lunch enroute. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 4: chimpanzee trekking
After breakfast you will go for chimpanzee trekking. Kibale Forest National Park is one of the best safari destinations in Africa for chimpanzee tracking. Kibale’s 795km2 National Park contains one of the most beautiful and with the most varying tracts of tropical forest in the whole of Uganda. This is place to a number of forest wildlife, most especially 13 species of primate coupled with chimpanzees. After trekking you will have lunch and then visit Bigodi wetland. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 5: Bwindi for gorillas
You will drive to Bwindi, have lunch enroute. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 6: Gorilla trekking
After breakfast you will have a briefing and after go for trekking, this could take 4-8 hours depending on the movements of the gorillas. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 7: Kampala
Have breakfast and head for Kampala arriving in the late afternoon. |
