A Joshua Cheptegei safari : Joshua Cheptegei is a Ugandan long-distance runner known for winning races in the 5000m and 10000m categories across different events. He is the current world champion and Olympic champion for the 10000m race, His also a world champion for the 5000m race and was the Olympic champion for the 5000m in 2020.

After his historically win of the men’s 10000m race at this year’s Paris Olympics, Joshua Cheptegei is yet again dominating headlines everywhere in the world, Africa and East Africa. Again, people are asking about Cheptegei to know him and most are asking about Uganda – the pearl of Africa, the land where Cheptegei hails from. With the many questions, has also come the desire to visit Uganda to get a first-hand experience of where this seasoned long-distance runner comes from. There are tailor made tourism running and jogging activities that you can also take part in on the slopes and different trails of the rocky falls.

  2. On your visit to the local communities, you will be sure to learn more about the culture there and the language from cheptegei’s home land and language, if you are up for it, you can learn some local songs, words and norms plus also taste some of the delicacies from the communities.
