Muyanga waterfall trail
This trail departs from Buhoma along along the River Ivi-Nkuringo trail and you will reach at a point where you will be able to see the falls plummeting 33meters. It leads to three extremely beautiful waterfalls where you will see many tree ferns, orchids, and epithetic ferns as well as the atmosphere filled with beautiful colorful butterflies bringing out a beautiful forest scenery. Rushura Hill walk
This is one of the famous trails used by visitors to explore the impenetrable forest. You will also be able to view the conical Peaks of the Virunga volcanoes.
Muzubijiro Loop Trail
Walking via this trail takes a 6km distance around a hill. Through this trail, you will be able to encounter with various primates and you will as well view beautiful bird species in the air and on the trees. You will also see multitudes of pre-historic tree ferns. We believe that you also won’t miss out the view of the Virungas, and the top of this trail is definitely a favourable place for a picnic lunch.
Buhoma-Nkuringo Trail
This is another interesting trail that takes 3-4 hours as you explore Bwindi Impenetrable forest. This trail crosses right through the National Park and it then connects to the two villages. As you follow this trail, attractive views of the misty hillsides shall be offered unto you as you as you climb the Hill towards Nkuringo. Clients who may not want to be bothered by carrying their luggage can leave it with their drivers who will meet them on the other side. This same trail can as well be completed as part of the Ivi River walk.
The Ivi River Walk
A walk via this trail takes a distance of 14km for about seven hours. This trail passes a place famously known as “Mukempenu” which means “a place for pigs”. This is because it’s the place where wild pigs are found often.
The Habinyanja Trail/ Railegh trail
Your nature walk via this trail will take you only about 4-6 hours, and after crossing the Munyaga River, you will climb the steep slopes of Habigorogoro and Riyovi ridges and at the top you will be able to view Buhoma River. Still as you ascend, you will enjoy a more relaxed gentle slope to the famous Hbimanya swamp and you will beable to view beautiful birds like the Pel’s Fishing owl, African Black Duck, and Black Bee eaters and many other birds.
