Cost Of Visiting National Parks In Uganda : There are different costs associated with visiting national parks in Uganda and they include the following;
Park entrance fees
The park entrance fees for visiting national parks in Uganda allow tourists to explore the different national parks in the country and are valid for a period of 24 hours from the time of entry in the national park.
Foreign nonresidents pay park entrance fee of 45 USD, 35 USD for foreign residents and 25,000 UGX for East Africans visiting Murchison falls national park. Park entrance fees for visiting Kidepo valley national park, Queen Elizabeth national park, Bwindi national park, Mgahinga gorilla national park, Kibale national park and Lake Mburo national park is 40 USD for foreign nonresidents, 30 USD for foreign residents and 20,000 UGX for East Africans.
Children aged between 5 and 15 years visiting Kidepo valley national park, Queen Elizabeth national park, Bwindi national park, Mgahinga gorilla national park, Kibale national park and Lake Mburo national park are charged park entrance fee of 20 USD for foreign nonresidents, 10 USD for foreign residents and 5,000 UGX for East Africans.
Park entrance fee paid by foreign nonresidents visiting Rwenzori mountains national park, Semuliki national park and Mount Elgon national park is 35 USD for foreign nonresidents, 25 USD for foreign residents and 15,000 UGX for East Africans.
Cost Of Visiting National Parks In Uganda : Vehicle entrance fees
Vehicle entrance fees are also charged during tours around national parks in Uganda which include Murchison falls national park, Kidepo valley national park, Kibale national park, Lake Mburo national park, Semuliki national park.
Tour company vehicles and 4 wheel drives during safaris around national parks in Uganda are charged vehicle entrance fee of 30,000 UGX for Ugandan registered vehicles and 150 USD for foreign registered vehicles.
Saloon cars are charged vehicle entrance fee of 20,000 UGX during tours around the national parks in Uganda. Vehicle entrance fee is also valid for 24 hours around the national parks in Uganda.

Permit for chimpanzee trekking in the Kyambura gorge in Queen Elizabeth national park costs 50 USD for foreign nonresidents, 40 USD for foreign residents and 30,000 UGX for East Africans.
Chimpanzee habituation permits for Kibale national park cost 250 USD for foreign nonresidents, 200 USD for foreign residents and 200,000 UGX for East Africans inclusive of park entrance fees.
