Children are those who are below the age of 15 years therefore on family safari visitors pay entrance fees to enter or access a national park and children below the age of 5 years are not charged entrance fee. when planning for family safaris in Uganda age is an important factor in that there are activities such as gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park and Mgahinga gorilla national park which only allow children who are above the age of 15 years and chimpanzee trekking in Kibale national park which allows children above the age of 12 years therefore  if parents want to engage in gorilla trekking and chimpanzee trekking on a family safari, children will participate in other activities in the park such as viewing wildlife such as trees, monkeys, birds, baboons among others.

Activities to participate in on your family safari

Family game drive    

Game drive is an interesting and thrilling activity where you explore the national parks in the comfort of a safari van with great views of wildlife. Visitors can go for family safaris all year round though the best time is during the dry season in the months of June to September and December to February.
