Nyungwe Canopy Walk

Nyungwe canopy walk in  Rwanda has a canopy walk where you can see the rest of the park from above 50 meters. It has impressive sights being East Africa’s Oldest Afro Montane forest. The length of the walk is about 200 meters. think of 200meters of breathtaking scenery in this misty forest!

This activity last close to 2 hours and you have the chance to see a lot of primates that Nyungwe forest is known for like L’Hoest’s Monkeys, Blue Monkeys, Black-and-white Colobus, Red-tailed Monkeys, and lots of birds.

The park is located in south western Rwanda about 260 km from the capital Kigali. The remarkable diversity includes the 13 species primates, more than 300 bird species have also been recorded here, about 85 mammal species, 38 reptiles and 32 amphibians.

The minimum age to this great adventure is 6 years and children below 16  must be with adults.

The activity is available through out the year and it will cost you about USD 60

Chances of rain are high so remember to carry a rain coat. Hiking shoes are also in order. Rain coats and hiking boots can be rented at the reception center. Walking sticks are provided free of charge.

The hike is relatively easy as it has been modified for estcay.
