Twiga Safari Lodge is excellent Mid-range safari accommodation offering 8 exclusive cottages located on the bank of the river Nile in Mubaako Paraa opposite Uganda’s largest and oldest famous National Park – Murchison Falls National Park. However, the lodge lies at the heart of all the activities that are conducted in the park just a 5 minutes’ drive away Nile Victoria. Therefore, guests are able to enjoy a boat ride or hike to the famous Murchison Falls – waterfalls, sport fishing, birding at the Lake Albert delta and game drives through the national park across the river.
All cottages are well equipped with comfortable and clean, furnished with private en-suite facilities of hot and cold showers, flushing toilets, solar energy available, treated mosquito nets, complementary bottled water, Ironing service, wooden chairs and tables, many more.
There rooms sit in areas with beautiful terraces and wooden balconies overlooking the breathtaking Albert Nile, scenic nature of the park and surrounding areas. They have a fire place where guests can relax in the evenings and enjoy the sunset as they jazz about the safari activity while enjoying a soft or a cock tail drink.
All cottages are clean and washed with queen sized bed and are configured as single, double, twin, triple and family rooms but with different room rate /costs ranging from USD200 per night and above. Though in peak season the rate goes slightly high than in Low season.

Lastly, Murchison Falls National Park is the largest and oldest national park located in the north eastern part of Uganda in Masindi district with other surrounding districts. Before it was named as Kabalega National Park. However ,it stands on the shores of Lake Albert a home to rare shoebill stork ,covering an area of about 3893 square kilometers ,that inhabits over 76 mammal species with the big four out of big fives species like ; Leopards ,Elephants ,Buffaloes ,Lions ,and rhinos can be found in Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary located on the same route to Murchison ,other animals to see include antelopes ,impalas ,Zebras among others and over 450 bird species categorized of water and savannah bird species and Albertine endemic birds among others.

Accessibility; Murchison Falls National Park is located in northwestern region of Uganda; approximately 4 to 5 hours drives from Kampala to main destination. Alternative, you can fly from Entebbe International Airport by domestic flight Aerolink Uganda to land –Pakuba Airstrip within an hour to the lodge.
