8 Days primates and wildlife safari
The 8 days primates and wildlife safari is an extraordinary adventure that will take you to Lake Mburo national park where you will view wildlife animals like the zebras, impala, eland, warthogs, giant forest hogs, buffaloes among others. You will also visit Bwindi impenetrable national park in southwestern Uganda where you will participate in gorilla trekking activity an interesting activity that will give you an opportunity to spend time with the endangered gorillas. You will also visit Queen Elizabeth national park where you will engage in boat cruise on Kazinga channel and game drive in Kasenyi plains. From Queen Elizabeth national park you will continue to Kibale national park where you will visit chimpanzees in their natural habitat.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1 of the 8 days primates and wildlife safari
Transfer to Kampala, depending on the time of arrival you will be welcomed by our driver guide who will brief you about your safari and then transfer to a hotel in Kampala. Upon arrival at the hotel you will enjoy an evening relaxation, dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Transfer to Lake Mburo national park
On the second day of the 8 days primates and wildlife safari you will have breakfast, check out of the lodge and your driver guide will pick you up and start the journey to Lake Mburo national park. On your way you will have a stopover at the equator where you will take photos, buy souvenirs, crafts among others and then continue with the journey to the park. Upon arrival you will have lunch and go for an afternoon game drive in the park where you will view various wildlife species like zebras, topi, buffaloes, impala, bushbucks, warthogs, reedbucks, waterbucks, elands among others. After the game drive you will drive to the lodge, check in, have dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park
You will have breakfast on the third day of your 8 days primates and wildlife safari check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park. On your way you will pass via Mbarara town, Kabale town and along the way you will have spectacular views of Kigezi hills, landscape, beautiful scenery, homesteads among others. Upon arrival you will continue to the lodge, check in, have dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park
Gorilla trekking, after an early breakfast on the fourth day of your 8 days primates and wildlife safari you will carry packed lunch and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to the park headquarters for the briefing about the rules and regulations of gorilla trekking. After the briefing you will be grouped into 8 people, allocated a gorilla family to trek and a park guide who is well conversant with the trails in the forest. Gorilla trekking in the park takes 30 minutes to 7 hours depending on the location of the gorillas and once found you will be allowed to spend one hour with the gorillas learning about their habits, behaviors, taking photos and recording the videos. After the one hour encounter with the gorillas you will trek back to the park headquarters meet up with your driver guide and transfer back to the lodge for an evening relaxation, dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park
You will have breakfast on the fifth day of your 8 days primates and wildlife safari, check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park. You will pass via Ishasha sector where you will be able to view the tree climbing lions that will be lying up in acacia, fig tree branches. You will have en-route lunch and continue to the park where you will have great views of animals as you continue to the lodge and upon arrival you will check in, have dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Game drive/ lion tracking and boat cruise
Game drive, after an early breakfast on the sixth day of the 8 days primates and wildlife safari you will meet up with your driver guide and go for a morning game drive or lion tracking experience in Kasenyi plains. During the game drive you will be able to view various animals including the elephants, lions, leopards, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, bushbucks, warthogs, bird species like grey crowned cranes, yellow throated long crow, red throat spur fowl, African white backed vulture, African wattled plover, black bellied bustard, black headed gonolek among others. After the game drive you will drive to Katwe Crater Lake where you will have an interaction with the local people extracting rock salt from the lake as a way to earn a living. After the tour to Katwe crater lake you will drive back to the lodge for lunch.
Boat cruise, after lunch you will go for an afternoon boat cruise on Kazinga channel a water body that connects Lake George and Lake Edward. The scheduled boat cruise starts at 2:00pm and takes about 2 hours. During the boat cruise you will be able to cruise meters away from large concentration of hippos and crocodiles in water, view animals like elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks, warthogs on the shores of the lake and water birds including the saddle bill stork, long tailed cormorant, African shoebill, yellow billed stork, pink backed pelican, black crake among others. After the boat cruise you will drive to the lodge for an evening relaxation, dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Transfer to Kibale national park
On the seventh day of your 8 days primates and wildlife safari you will have breakfast, check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Kibale national park. On the way you will have spectacular views of the Rwenzori Mountains, tea plantations crater lakes among others and upon arrival you will check into the lodge and have lunch.
Bigodi wetland walk, after lunch you will go for a nature walk in Bigodi swamp. During the nature walk you will be able to view different bird species such as the great blue turaco, papyrus gonolek, kingfishers, hornbills, primates like the grey cheeked mangabey, black and white colobus monkeys, baboons, vervet monkeys, l’hoest monkeys, tree species, listen to the birds singing in the trees, feel the cool breeze, breath fresh air among others. After the nature walk you will drive back to the lodge for an evening relaxation, dinner and overnight.
Day 8: Chimpanzee trekking and departure
Chimpanzee trekking, after an early breakfast on the last day of the 8 days primates and wildlife safari you will meet up with your driver guide and transfer to Kanyachu Visitors center for a briefing about the rules and regulations of chimpanzee trekking. After the briefing you will be allocated a chimpanzee family to trek, a park guide who is well conversant with the trails in the jungle and then start trekking in forest. During trekking you will view primate species like l’hoest monkeys, vervet monkeys, baboons, bird species, tree species among others and once the chimpanzees are found you will be allowed to spend one hour with them in their natural habitat which gives you an opportunity to take photos, record videos, learn about their lifestyle, habits and behaviors. After the one hour visit with the chimpanzees you will trek back to the park headquarters where you will meet up with your driver guide to transfer to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch you will check out of the lodge, meet up with your driver guide and start the journey to Kampala where you will reach early evening and upon arrival your driver guide will drop you off at any place of convenience or at the airport in case you have a flight to catch.
