Our 5 days gorillas and white water rafting safari will take you to Bwindi impenetrable national park where you will have a face to face interaction with the mountain gorillas. Bwindi impenetrable national park is located in southwestern part of Uganda and offers an amazing gorilla trekking safari which is done in four sectors namely Rushaga, Nkuringo, Buhoma and Ruhija. After Bwindi impenetrable national park you will also visit River Nile in Jinja where you will participate in white water rafting.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1 of the 5 days gorillas and white water rafting safari
Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park, on the first day of your 5 days gorillas and white water rafting safari you will be welcomed by our driver guide at Entebbe international airport who will give you a short briefing about your gorilla trekking safari and then you will start the journey to the misty Bwindi impenetrable national park. On your way you will pass via Masaka with a stopover at the Equator in Kayabwe where you will photos and then continue the journey with en-route lunch at Igongo Cultural Centre in Mbarara.
After lunch you will continue the journey via Ntugamo, Kabale and then Ruhija sector in the eastern part of Bwindi impenetrable national park. The journey to the park takes about 8 to 9 hours’ drive with spectacular views of beautiful scenery, landscapes, terraced farmlands, homesteads, local people among others. Upon arrival in the park you will continue to the lodge check in, freshen up, have dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park
Gorilla trekking, after an early breakfast on the second day of your 5 days gorillas and white water rafting safari you will carry packed lunch and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing about gorilla trekking. After the briefing you will be grouped into 8 people and allocated a gorilla group to visit which is done according to age, personal preferences and physical fitness therefore in case you are not physically fit you are advised to communicate to your guide so that they allocate you a gorilla family that is easy to trek.
Trekking of the gorillas takes about 30 minutes to 7 hours depending on the location of the mountain gorillas and once they are found, you will be allowed to spend one hour with them in their natural habitat taking photos, recording the moments and learning more about their lifestyle, behaviors and habits. After the one hour interaction with the mountain gorillas, you will trek back to the park headquarters where you will be awarded a certificate for participating in gorilla trekking and then meet up with your driver guide to transfer to the lodge for an evening relaxation, dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Departure to Kampala
On the third day of your 5 days gorillas and white water rafting you will wake up, have breakfast, check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to start the journey to Kampala passing via Kabale town with en-route lunch in Mbarara town. After lunch you will continue the journey to Kampala and upon arrival you will continue to the lodge check in have dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Transfer to Jinja for white water rafting
After an early breakfast on the fourth day of your 5 days gorillas and white water rafting safari your driver guide will pick you up and start the journey to Jinja which is located in southeastern Uganda. On your way you will have a stopover at Mabira forest which is located in Buikwe district for a nature forest walk and after proceed to Jinja town for lunch.
White water rafting, after lunch you will go for white water rafting experience which will be done at Itanda falls along the River Nile White water rafting is an amazing and exciting activity which is done according to grades which range from grade 1 to grade 5 by use of a small paddle raft filled with air and with a trained guide. After the adventurous white water rafting activity you will meet up with your driver guide and transfer back to Kampala.
Day 5: Departure TO Entebbe
On the last day of your 5 days gorillas and white water rafting safari you will have a relaxed breakfast at the lodge and if you have an evening flight you will go for an optional city tour in Kampala where you will visit various attractions like the Uganda Museum, Uganda Martyrs Shrine, Kabaka’s Palace, Owino market among others. During the city tour you will have lunch in one of the hotels in Kampala where you will taste different dishes prepared in Uganda and after your driver guide will transfer you to Entebbe international airport for your next flight.
