The 3 days Rwanda gorillas and cultural safari is an incredible adventure which gives you an opportunity to explore Kigali city, visit the endangered mountain gorillas and Ibyi’wacu cultural village. The safari will take you to volcanoes national park which is situated in the northwestern part of Rwanda and its known for harboring primate species such as the mountain gorillas, golden monkeys, chimpanzees, olive baboons, colorful bird species, volcanic mountains, mammals among others.

Day 1 of the 3 days Rwanda gorillas and cultural safari
Arrival and transfer to Volcanoes national park, depending on the time of arrival on the first day of the 3 days Rwanda gorillas and cultural safari you will be welcomed by our driver guide who will brief you about the safari and then start the journey to Kigali for a city tour. Kigali city is known as the cleanest and most organized city in Africa and during the city tour you will visit the genocide memorial center, art centers like Inema art gallery, Kimironko market among others. After the city tour you will go for lunch in one of the hotels or restaurants and after start the journey to volcanoes national park which is filled with great views of the terraced farmlands, traditional homesteads, rolling hills, beautiful landscape among others. Upon arrival in the park you will continue to the lodge where you will have dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes national park
Gorilla trekking, after an early breakfast on the second day of the 3 days Rwanda gorillas and cultural safari you will carry packed lunch and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing about the rules and regulations of gorilla trekking. After the briefing you will be allocated a gorilla family to trek and a park guide who is well conversant with trails in the forest. During trekking in Volcanoes national park you will have spectacular views of different bird species, mammals, plant and tree species, primates among others and once the mountain gorillas are found you will be allowed to spend one hour with them in their natural habitat which helps you to learn more about their lifestyle, behaviors, take photos and record the moments to show people back home. After the one hour encounter with the mountain gorillas you will trek back to the park headquarters, meet up with your driver guide and transfer back to the lodge for an evening relaxation, dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Cultural tour and departure to Kigali
Cultural tour, on the last day of the 3 days Rwanda gorillas and cultural safari you will have breakfast and meet up with your driver guide to go for a cultural tour to Ibyi’wacu cultural village which is located around the park. During the cultural tour you will get an opportunity of interacting with the local people, learn about their lifestyle, culture, traditions, way of living, taste their food, listen to interesting stories about traditional medicine from local traditional healers, taste their local beer made out of bananas, enjoy entertainments from the women performing traditional dances, songs, drama among others. After the cultural tour you will meet your driver guide and transfer back to the lodge for lunch.
Departure to Kigali, after lunch you will check out of the lodge and your driver guide will transfer you to Kigali where you will be dropped off at the airport for your next flight or at any place of convenience.
