Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Arusha National Park
You will be picked up by your safari guide upon your arrival at the Kilimanjaro airport or at your hotel in Arusha or Moshi town, and have a short briefing before transferring you to Arusha National Park. The park is home to countless birds and wild animals, hence the best spot for game viewing. You will head for a game drive in search of wildlife such as the buffaloes, zebras, and a number of bird species. Dinner and overnight stay at Hatari lodge
Day 2: Full day game drive in Arusha National park
Get up early and go for game viewing in the open plains of Arusha National Park and you could be snapping life-list animal photos an hour after breakfast. While some game reserves limit travelers to safari vehicles, Arusha National Park offers plenty of ways to get out of the car and into the landscape. You will later return to your lodge for lunch and relaxation.
Optional activity is a canoe trip in Momella Lakes in the afternoon, and it an important habitat for hippos, buffalo, bushbuck, and a wide range of bird species. You will later have a brief game drive as you find you way to you lodge for dinner and overnight at Hatari lodge or Ngurgoto Safari Lodge.
Day 3: Walking safari – Return to Arusha – Departure
After your morning breakfast, you will head for a walking safari, to explore Arusha National Park on foot. Walking safaris are another favorite, as the 213-square-mile (552-square-kilometer) park has a maze of hiking trails. Venture to the edge of Ngurdoto Crater, and you find big views of swamp and forest land. Throughout the day, watch for groups of giraffes, zebras, elephants, lions, and monkeys—since Arusha National Park sprawls along the slopes of Mt.
