Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Start your Tanzania Safari journey in Arusha, the getaway to Tanzania’s Safari Circuit. After breakfast or upon pick up from Kilimanjaro International Airport, depart for Tarangire National Park, the 6th largest national park in Tanzania covering 2,850 square kilometers.

En-route pass through Maasai villages, observing traditional bomas (homesteads) and locals herding their livestock. The Maasai in the region have maintained many of their customs while adopting to modern influences. On arrival in the park, you will enjoy picnic lunch and later go for an afternoon game drive.

Tarangire National Park is renowned for its large elephant population, with herds of up to 300 individuals observed. The park is also famous for the iconic baobab trees, with some believed to be over 1,000 years old.

Day 2: Tarangire – Lake Manyara National Park

After a morning game drive in Tarangire National Park, depart for Lake Manyara National Park. This beautiful compact park covers 330 square, of which 200 square kilometers is Lake Manyara when the water levels are high.

Have en-route stop at Mto wa Mbu Village, known for its cultural diversity with over 120 tribes. Participate in several local activities such as traditional beer brewing, visit a local market and learn about their traditions and cultures.

Arrive at Lake Manyara National Park in time for lunch at your lodge after check-in. in the afternoon you will go for a visit to the Lake Manyara Treetop Walkway, a 370 meter canopy that provides a unique perspective of the forest canopy ecosystem. This walkway, the first of its kind in Tanzania offers opportunities to observe birds and monkeys at eye level.

Day 3: Lake Manyara – Serengeti

After enjoying breakfast, you will depart for Serengeti National Park passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area en route. Stop at Olduvai Gorge, often called the “Cradle of Mankind”. This archeological site is where some of oldest hominid fossils ever found, dating back 1.9 million years.

Continue to Serengeti National Park with en-route lunch and game drive. Later head to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Full Day in Serengeti

Spend a full day exploring Serengeti and its vast Serengeti ecosystem covering 30,000 square kilometers and is home to the largest terrestrial mammal migration in the world, the Great Wildebeest Migration involving over 2 million wildebeests and thousands of zebras.

During the full day game drive you will be treated to amazing sightings of several wildlife species including wildebeests, lions, zebras, gazelles, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, rhinos and several bird species. In the evening you will go for a cultural experience in the Maasai Village, get a deeper insight about the cultures and traditions of the Maasai people through local dances and drama, interact with the elders and take part in their dances.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater

Enjoy early breakfast and meet your guide to have a last morning game drive in Serengeti plains. Later depart to Ngorongoro Conservation Area within en-route game drive and lunch.

Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most popular Tanzania Safari destinations and a unique destination where both wildlife, livestock and humans peaceful co-exist. Arrive in the evening, check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Departure

After breakfast, descend into Ngorongoro Crater for a 5 hours game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most densely crowded African wildlife areas in the world and is home to an estimated 30,000 animals including the last remaining black rhinos in Tanzania.

During the crater game drive, you will see several animals including lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, the elusive leopards among others. You will enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor. Later afternoon, drive back home to Arusha where you will be dropped off at your hotel.
