Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Arusha
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro airport at 20:10 hours, you will be meet your safari drivers and connect to your booked hotel in Arusha. Check-in for dinner and overnight stay at Tulia boutique hotel and spa
Day 2: Transfer to Lake Manyara national park on a game drive and canopy walk
After breakfast, check-out with your packed lunch and transfer to Lake Lake Manyara national park. It’s about 3 hours’ drive from Arusha and upon arrival, connect for thrilling game drive and canopy walk. You will have a game drive to search for wildlife species in this national park such as tree climbing lions, elephants, gazelles, buffalos, hippos, antelopes, waterbucks, hartebeests, warthogs, hyenas, giraffes, elands, impalas among others. You will also see various bird species during your game drive in Lake Manyara national park. Later afternoon, enjoy a canopy walk experience. You will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight after your game drive at Twiga Safari Lodge
Day 3: Drive to Serengeti national park – evening game drive
After breakfast, check-out and transfer to Serengeti national park. It’s about 5 hours’ drive with en-route stops for sightseeing, Ngorongoro crater view point and other stop overs including en-route picnic lunch. Proceed to your lodge with en-route game drive in the open savannah plains. Check-in for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay at Tukaone Serengeti Camp for budget
Day 4: Full day in Northern Serengeti for the wildebeest migration
Have early breakfast, get parked lunch and go for a full day game drive we start from far North around the Mara river in case you came on the opposite month when the migration will start from Serengeti after missing it from Mara Kenya side now this will be you turn to enjoy the best. Spend the whole day looking for these animals like Hippos, Elephants, Buffalos, Giraffes, Lions, Hyenas, Cheetahs, Antelopes, Hartebeest, zebras mention but a few. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight at lodge above
Day 5: Another day game drive in Serengeti Central plains
Serengeti national park has all kinds of wildlife and most spotted animals include; the big five like lions, leopards, buffalos, rhinos, and elephants. You will also see other wildlife and bird species, which include Wildebeest, waterbucks, antelopes, zebras, kudus, hippos, buffalos among others. Visit the retina hippo pool where you can see many hippos swimming in a pool. You will also see different predators in the savannah of this national park especially sitting on top of rock kopjes. Start your game drives early and end late evening with return to the lodges to relax, dinner and overnight stay as above.
Day 6: Transfer to Ngorongoro conservation area
After breakfast, drive back to Ngorongoro conservation area. It’s about 4 hours’ drive with en-route game viewing and en-route lunch. En-route stop at the Ol duvai gorge, which is an archaeological site where evidence of early man relating to human evolution was discovered by Dr. Mary and Louis Leakey. Dinner and overnight stay at Hhando Coffee Lodge for budget
Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater Drive, Crater Rim Walk
Breakfast will be served at your lodge as you prepare for your transfer to Ngorongoro conservation area where you will descend into the crater and you will visit Lake Magadi, which is found in the center of the crater. You will engage in a game drive and search for various wildlife species such as elephants, rhinos, buffalos, lions, leopards, cheetahs, wildebeests, zebras as well as flamingos along the shores of Lake Magadi. You will enjoy a walking safari in the conservancy, and after proceed to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay as above.
Day 8: Transfer to Tarangire national park – transfer to Arusha
After breakfast, start your drive very early to transfer to Tarangire National Park, which is about 3 hours’ drive from Arusha. Upon arrival, connect for a full day game drive explore the park. During the game drives, you will see different wildlife species grazing and roaming in the national park such as lions, giraffes, antelopes, giraffes, lions, leopards, buffalos, wildebeests, elands, elephants, cheetahs, impalas and a variety of bird species can also be seen especially around the Tarangire national park. As you enjoy the sunset and scenery around you, drive out of the park and embark on your drive back to Arusha. Day 9: Departure
After breakfast, meet your driver to drive you to Kilimanjaro international airport for your departure flight departing at 12:40 pm.
