Day 1: Airport Pick Up
You will be picked from the airport for your 8 days Tanzania safari and driven to Serengeti which is about 335km (208 miles) from Arusha, stretching north to Kenya and bordering Lake Victoria to the west. You will arrive at the lodge in time for lunch before going for an afternoon drive. Dinner and overnight at the lodge in Serengeti.
Day 2: Full day Game Drive
After breakfast with packed lunch, you will go for a full day game drive. You will spot various animals, more than 200,000 zebra and 300,000 Thomson’s gazelle join the wildebeest’s trek for fresh grazing. Yet even when the migration is quiet, the Serengeti offers arguably the most scintillating game-viewing in Africa.
Great herds of buffalo, smaller groups of elephant and giraffe, and thousands upon thousands of eland, topi, kongoni, impala, Grant’s gazelle, leopards, cheetahs, three African jackal, spotted hyena and a host of more elusive small predators, ranging from the insectivorous aardwolf to the beautiful serval cat. There are also 500-plus bird species, ranging from the outsized ostrich and bizarre secretary bird of the open grassland, to the black eagles that soar effortlessly above the Lobo Hills. Dinner and overnight at the lodge as above.
Day 3 AND 4 – Ngorongoro Crater
Breakfast and then drive to Ngorongoro Crater where you may spot lions, elephants, Zebras, Hippos, Flamingos, Jackals, Rhinos Antelopes and many birds. The birds seen here include eagle, vulture, and flamingos in the Crater Lake, stork, bats, giant vulture, sacred ibis, kori bustard, blacksmith plover, long necked heron and the cattle eagle. In the afternoon, you will enjoy a walking safari on the crater rim. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 5 AND 6 – Lake Manyara
You will have breakfast and then transfer to Lake Manyara national park, in northern Tanzania. Lake Manyara is one of the national parks using electronic payment systems at the gate when paying for park entrance fees. You will arrive Lake Manyara in time for lunch, and go for an afternoon game drive. This Park is where herds of baboons are often seen walking by the succulent forest on the lakeside.
This park is most prominent for its tree-climbing lions that can be spotted draped over branches of acacia trees, other animals like the elephants, klipspringer, various bird species like the ink-hued flamingos, as well as other large water birds such as pelicans, cormorants and storks. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 7: Tarangire wildlife park
After breakfast you drive to Tarangire national park. On arrival you will go for a game drive.
You will spot herds of up to 300 elephants, wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, impala, gazelle, hartebeest and eland. It’s the greatest concentration of wildlife outside the Serengeti ecosystem – a smorgasbord for predators – and the one place in Tanzania where dry-country antelope such as the stately fringe-eared oryx and peculiar long-necked gerenuk are regularly observed. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 8: Departure
