10 Days Uganda Gorilla Safari & White Water Rafting in Jinja
This 10 Days Gorilla Safari takes you to Bwindi for Gorilla trekking, Queen Elizabeth national park for game viewing and White water rifting on the Nile in Jinja.
Day 1; Arrival and Hotel transfer
You will be met by our company representative and your driver / guide at Entebbe airport on arrival for 10 Days Gorilla Safari and transfer to the hotel, refresh and enjoy breakfast, then go for a city tour of Kampala visiting the craft markets, Museum, King’s lake among others. Have lunch in Kampala and later drive back to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at Forest cottages or Sheraton Hotel.
Day 2; Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
You will have early morning breakfast and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park with a stopover at the equator for photography and the equator experience and lunch en-route in Ishaka town.
Proceed to Queen Elizabeth national park arriving in the afternoon. Check in to your lodge and later embark on an afternoon launch cruise along the Kazinga Channel which is a natural link between Lake Albert and Lake George. The channel is congested with numerous hippos and crocodiles and offers splendid photographic opportunities not forgetting an array of birds on the bay! Later return to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Enganzi Game Lodge.
Day 3; Full Day – Queen Elizabeth National Park
You will enjoy morning breakfast and go for a game drive in the Ishasha sector in Queen Elizabeth safari park with chances of setting your eyes on the tree climbing lions as they laze off in the mid-morning. This part of the park is still virgin and has a lot of wildlife viewing. Have lunch and later return to your lodge for dinner and overnight as above.
Day 4; Transfer to Bwindi national park & Batwa Experience
You will wake up early and make an early start on your journey to Buhoma – Bwindi arriving in time for lunch, enjoy lunch and later proceed go for the Batwa experience in Bwindi where you will enjoy an incredible hike in the rain forest with Batwa guides, see how the Batwa lived and hunted, learn about medicinal plants, and watch for animals and birds.
You will hear ancient legends and traditional songs, and join in on a mock hunting party. You can even test your skill with a Batwa bow and arrow and participate in traditional dances. Later return to the Lodge for dinner and overnight at Gorilla Resort.
Day 5; Gorilla trekking – Bwindi
After an early morning breakfast, you will drive to the park headquarters for briefing with your packed lunch and later go for gorilla trekking, this could take 4-8 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas. After trekking, meet your driver and transfer back to the hotel where you will unwind as you reflect on the memorable gorilla trek on your 10 days Gorilla safari! Dinner and overnight as above.
Day 6; Transfer back to Kampala
You will enjoy breakfast and transfer back to Kampala with lunch en-route at Igongo Cultural Centre. Proceed to Kampala arriving in the afternoon and proceed to the hotel. Dinner and overnight at Cassia Lodge
Day 7; Full day rafting – Jinja
You will have early morning breakfast and transfer to Jinja for full day rafting on the Nile river (lunch inclusive) after rafting, transfer for dinner and overnight stay at Jinja Nile Resort
Day 8; Explore Jinja & Transfer to Kampala.
You will have breakfast and explore Jinja as a destination! Visit the source of the Nile, and those adventurous enough can try bungee jumping for $55 per person. Later transfer back to Kampala with a stopover in Mabira forest, a renowned birding and forest walk destination. Proceed to Kampala for dinner and overnight at Cassia Lodge.
Day 9; Kampala City Tour
You will have breakfast and then go for a city tour of Kampala visiting the Namugongo Martyrs’ shrine, Bahai temple, craft markets, Museum, King’s lake among others. Have lunch and later drive back to the hotel. Dinner and overnight as above.
Day 10; Airport Transfer and Departure
You will enjoy breakfast and transfer to Entebbe airport for your departure flight marking the end of your 10 days Gorilla safari.
