On your 2 days Uganda gorilla trekking from Kigali safari, you will arrive at Kigali International Airport in Rwanda where you will meet your driver guide who will transfer you to Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park for gorilla trekking. Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park is one of the destinations in Africa that harbors the highest number of endangered mountain gorillas which are found in four sectors that is Ruhija sector in the East, Nkuringo sector in the South, Buhoma sector in the North and Rushaga sector in the South. Detailed itinerary

Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest      

On arrival at Kigali international airport our driver guide will meet you give you a short briefing about your 2days Uganda gorilla trekking from Kigali. After the briefing you will start your 3 to 4 hour journey to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park via Cyanika border in Kisoro district. On your way you will have great views of the rolling hills in Rwanda, landscapes, homesteads with a stopover in Kisoro town for lunch.

After lunch you will proceed to Rushaga sector which is situated in the southern sector of Bwindi Impenetrable forest. On arrival in Rushaga sector you will check in into the lodge and go for an evening cultural tour depending on the time you have arrived at the destination then after you will have dinner and overnight at the lodge.

2 days Uganda gorilla trekking from Kigali safari

Day 2: Gorilla trekking and Departure

On your second day, you will wake up early for breakfast and with your packed lunch meet up with your driver guide and transfer to the park headquarters in Rushaga sector for a briefing about the expectations, rules and regulations of gorilla trekking. After the briefing you will be grouped into 8 people and allocated a park guide who will be sharing knowledge during trekking. At 8:00am you will start gorilla trekking in the forest which takes about 2 to 6 hours depending on the location of the gorilla family and once the gorilla family has been found you will spend one hour with the gorillas in their natural habitat learning more about their habits, behaviors, taking photos with flash less cameras and recording the moments.

After the one hour with the gorillas you will trek back to the starting point where you will be awarded a certificate for participating in gorilla trekking and together with your driver guide transfer back to Kigali and drop off at the airport or any place of convenience.
