20 Days Uganda, Rwanda and Tanzania Safari 

Day 1: Arrival and hotel check-in

Upon arrival at Entebbe airport, you will be welcomed by our company representative who will transfer you to Kampala city for your first night in Kampala, if you arrive early; you have an option of a city Kampala city tour. Dinner and overnight stay at Fairway Hotel and Spa for mid-range/Forest Cottages for budget/Serena Kampala Hotel for luxury 

Day 2: Ziwa Rhino trekking – transfer to Murchison falls  

After early morning breakfast, meet your guide to start your journey to Murchison falls national. You will first stop at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary for rhino trekking which takes about 2-3 hours. You will have a briefing about the Rhinos, and then be guided by the rangers to find the rhinos. 

Thereafter, proceed for lunch in Masindi town then proceed to enter the park via the Kichwabanyobo gate. Proceed to the top of the falls in the park where you will have a sight of the great Murchison falls. Before nightfall, connect to your lodge. Day 3: Morning game drive and boat cruise on River Nile 

Have breakfast and then head for a morning game drive in the delta area, explore some of the wildlife in the park on a game drive such as the jackals, hyenas, giraffe, lion, elephant, antelope, elephant, Uganda Kob, Jackson hartebeests, buffaloes among others.

After lunch, connect for a boat cruise on the Victoria Nile. Cruise to the bottom of the falls where you will find animals like the hippos, buffaloes, elephants, crocodiles, and a variety of water birds like on a good day you may see the rare shoebill, fish eagles, among others. You have an option of hiking to the top of the falls and find different viewpoints of the mighty Murchison falls meet your driver and drive back to your lodge for lunch. Return to your lodge to relax. Dinner and overnight at lodge as above

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale National Park 

Have a morning breakfast and then transfer to Kibale national park where you will reach in the evening. En route, you will have lunch in Hoima town and you will pass by different local homesteads, tea, and banana and sorghum plantations. Dinner and the overnight at Chimpanzee Guest House for mid-range/Isunga lodge for budget/Kyaninga lodge for luxury

Day 5: Chimpanzee tracking and Bigodi nature walk

After breakfast, you will set out for a guided chimpanzee search in the forest which will enable you view primates like mangabeys, colobus monkeys, baboons, bush babies, among many more. The ranger guide will make the walk informative and interesting on both the flora and fauna. After lunch, take a walk to the Bigodi sanctuary for plenty of bird species plus the rare flora and fauna. Dinner and the overnight at lodge as above.

Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park – afternoon boat cruise

After early morning breakfast, embark on your journey to Queen Elizabeth national park, en-route visit of the explosive crater lakes one of the most beautiful places to visit while in Queen Elizabeth national park. Driving from KNP is about 3 hours’ drive journey, enter the park and connect for lunch.

Connect for the 3 pm boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel and into Lake Edward. This cruise will let you pass through a place of the highest concentration of hippos and you may also see many animals drinking at the water’s edge. The cruise also offers a good platform for photography, bird watching,

and game viewing. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Ishasha jungle lodge for mid-range/Enjojo lodge for budget/Ishasha Wilderness Camp for luxury

Day 7: Game drive – Bwindi Impenetrable forest National Park

Wake up early and drive through the Ishasha sector best known for tree-climbing lions. The lions can be seen upon the fig trees however it’s not a guarantee that the lions will be seen. On a good day, you will also spot the leopards, elephants, and the different antelope species. Have lunch then proceed to Bwindi impenetrable forest to Ruhija sector. Day 8: Gorilla trekking experience 

Have breakfast and transfer to park headquarters for briefing about gorilla trekking and at around 7:00 am, you will set off for the gorilla search. The search time for these apes is unpredictable but normally ranges between 2-9 hours depending on their movement. This activity takes you through the steep rocks climbing up and down making it tiresome but in an adventurous way. However, after encountering these humble giant primates for 1 hour, the memories of how tough it was to get to them are erased. Descend and meet your driver to return to the lodge.

Day 9 of 20 days East Africa tour: Cross to Rwanda – Volcanoes national park

Have breakfast and cross via the Cyanika border. It takes 3-4 hours to reach Musanze, have lunch then visit some of the renown attractions in Musanze that is the twin lakes of Burere and Ruhondo and later after your lunch connects for an evening visit of Iby’iwachu cultural village where you will learn about ancient Rwandese traditions and traditional dance! Day 10: Golden Monkey tracking – Explore the Lake Kivu

Breakfast will be served in the morning then transfer to Parc National Volcanoes headquarters for trekking briefing with your packed lunch. Here after, you will start tracking. The trekking time takes between 2-5 hours depending on the movement of the monkeys. The activity is demanding although at the same time it’s rewarding. The pleasure encountered after meeting the giant primates in unforgettable. 

En-route lunch in Gisenyi town then explore Lake Kivu, one of Africa’s great lakes that lie between Congo and Rwanda, you will be in the company of a local guide to show you around. Enjoy a boat ride to one of the islands in the lake. Simply explore the town, seeing the hustle and bustle of the local market or wander through the leafy streets admiring the old colonial buildings. Day 11: Drive to Kigali – City tour

After breakfast at the lodge, you will drive through the rolling hills of Rwanda and arrive in Kigali at a good time for lunch at Milles Collins hotel and check-in lodge. Des Mille Collines hotel is a historic hotel that was featured in Hotel Rwanda Movie. Use the rest of the afternoon to visit Kigali genocide memorial t at your hotel and other interesting attractions in Kigali at your own cost if any. Day 12: Fly to Serengeti national park – Tanzania 

Wake up very early, have breakfast be transferred to Kigali airport for your onward flight to Serengeti national park. Coastal aviation has a daily flight from Kigali to Serengeti from 7 am. On arrival at Serengeti Park, you will be meant your guide to transfer to your lodge for check-in. Have lunch before you head out for a game drive. Before nightfall, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Serengeti Sopa lodge for luxury/Osupuko lodge for budget/Serengeti Heritage tented Camp for mid-range

Day 13: Full day Serengeti National Park. 

After your delicious breakfast, meet your driver and embark on a drive to Serengeti national park for a game drive and lunch. The Northern sector is known for its masculine lions and you will also encounter a great number of other wildlife. Serengeti is one national park that is rich in wildlife so expect to see every kind of animal. Dinner and overnight at lodge as above

Day 14: Serengeti Game Drive & Transfer to Ngorongoro 

You will enjoy breakfast, then connect for yet another game drive for chances of meeting the missed animals as you connect to the Ngorongoro conversation area with packed lunch. Enter Ngorongoro with an en-route game drive to connect to your accommodation. Day 15: Full Day Ngorongoro Crater

On day 5 of the 20 Days Uganda, Rwanda and Tanzania Safari, you will enjoy breakfast and go for a full-day exploration of the Ngorongoro crater. This is the best place to see the big five (Leopard, Rhino, Lion, Elephant, and Buffalo) and other animals. Dinner and overnight at lodge as above

Day 16: Transfer to Tarangire national park

Wake up early enjoy the morning breakfast then depart for Tarangire National park. The drive takes like 3-4 drive hence reaching the park at mid-morning. You will continue for a game drive for the whole afternoon then later drive to our accommodation for relaxing evening, dinner and overnight Tarangire Sopa lodge for luxury/Tarangire Roika lodge for mid-range/Osupuku lodge for budget

Day 17; Game drive in Lake Manyara national park

Connect for an early morning game drive to catch up with the early morning risers in the park. A morning game drive in Tarangire national park does not leave any stone from the park unturned meaning all corners will be visited and enjoyed. The park has a lot of plants, animals and birding life to offer to the guests from the smallest Dik-dik to the giant Elephants, king of the juggle the lion, the buffalos and many more. 

After our long day game drives, drive out of the park and connect to Lake Manyara national park. Connect to your lodge to rest, have dinner and overnight stay at Manyara Sopa lodge for luxury/Kirmumu safari lodge for mid-range/Twiga lodge for budget

18: Full day Lake Manyara exploration

Wake up early for breakfast and start your game drive in Lake Manyara – a real home of the tree-climbing lions, leopards and other big five. It’s one of the great parks found on the Great Rift Valley hence having more and more birds. Depending on the season you may have an afternoon boat ride at the lake if it’s a rainy season or go for canopy walk at the top of the trees. Drive back to your lodge for refreshment and dinner and overnight stay at lodge as above

Day 19: Transfer to Arusha

After having breakfast, explore a bit more of the park then drive to Arusha where you will spend the rest of your day at leisure. Meals and overnight stay at Tulia Boutique Hotel and spa

Day 20: Airport – Departure
