Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park

Depending on your location, our driver guide will pick you up, brief you about your 3 days Uganda gorilla trekking safari in Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park and then embark on the journey to Bwindi national park. You will pass via Masaka district, the equator where you will a stopover for pictures, great views of landscapes, roadside markets, craft shops, local people and many others and on your way you will have a stopover in Mbarara town for lunch.

After lunch you will continue the journey and pass via Kabale town as you continue to Buhoma sector in the northern part of Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park. Upon arrival you will have dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Accommodation options in Buhoma Sector are Buhoma Lodge (luxury), Buhoma Community Haven Lodge (midrange) or Buhoma Rest Camp (budget).

Day 2: Gorilla trekking

You will wake up early have breakfast at the lodge and with your packed lunch meet up with your driver guide and transfer to the park headquarters for the briefing about the expectations, rules and regulations of gorilla trekking. After the briefing you will be grouped into 8 people for each habituated gorilla group depending on your interests and physical fitness. Each group of 8 people will be allocated a park guide at 8:00am you will start trekking in the jungle where you will have views of the vegetation, tree species, bird species among others. Gorilla trekking will take about 2 to 8 hours depending on where the gorilla family is located and once the gorilla family has been found you will spend one hour with the gorillas in their natural habit learning more about their lifestyle, behaviors, taking photos with flash less camera, recording videos among other.

After having an encounter with the gorilla family you will trek back to the starting point where you will be awarded a certificate for participating in gorilla trekking and then meet up with your guide. In case you have a short gorilla trekking activity you will transfer to Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale town which is the deepest lake in Uganda and second deepest lake in Africa. At Lake Bunyonyi you will participate in canoeing where you will have beautiful views of the landscape, lake, islands, terraces, farmlands, bird species among other which gives you fascinating and breathtaking experiences. After canoeing on Lake Bunyonyi you will head back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Transfer to Kampala

You will wake up have a relaxed breakfast with beautiful views of the islands and mist covering the water. After breakfast you will check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Kampala. On your way you will have a stopover at Igongo Cultural Centre in Mbarara district, which has a mini museum with displays of different cultural practices of different tribes in Uganda.
