This 4 days Uganda double gorilla trekking safari will take you to Bwindi impenetrable national park in south western Uganda where you will visit two gorilla families during gorilla trekking activity. During the safari you will be able to spend one hour with each habituated gorilla family, compare gorilla experiences, learn about their lifestyle, take pictures and record the breathtaking moments to show people back home after the safari.

Day 1 of the 4 days Uganda double gorilla trekking safari
Arrival and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park, upon arrival at Entebbe airport on the first day of the 4 days Uganda double gorilla trekking safari you will be picked by our driver guide who will brief you about the safari and then start the journey to Bwindi impenetrable national park. You will have a stopover at Igongo cultural centre for lunch and then continue the journey with scenic views of beautiful scenery, landscapes, terraced farmlands, Kigezi hills among others. Upon arrival in the park you will check in at the lodge, have dinner and overnight.
Day 2: First gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park
First gorilla trekking, after an early breakfast on the second day of the 4 days Uganda double gorilla trekking safari you will carry packed lunch, meet up with your driver guide and transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing about the rules, regulations and expectations of gorilla trekking. Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park is done in groups of 8 people where each group is allocated a gorilla family to trek and a park guide who is well conversant with trails in the forest, grouping of individuals is done according to factors like age, personal preferences and physical fitness therefore in case you are not physically fit you are advised to communicate with your driver guide so that they allocate you a gorilla family that is near to trek.
Trekking of the habituated mountain gorillas in Bwindi impenetrable national park takes about 3o minutes to 6 hours depending on their location because they like to move from one place to another in search of food. during trekking you will have views of other wildlife species like colorful birds, mammals, plant species, other primates among others and once the gorillas are found you will be allowed to spend one hour with them in their natural habitats which gives you an opportunity to learn more about their lifestyle, behaviors, watch them feed, breastfeed, play, take pictures and record the moments. After spending one hour with the gentle giants you will trek back to the park headquarters where you will be awarded a certificate for participating in gorilla trekking, meet up with your driver guide and transfer to the lodge for an evening relaxation, dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Second gorilla trekking and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
Second gorilla trekking, just like the previous gorilla trekking routine you will have an early breakfast, carry packed lunch, check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing about the rules and regulations of gorilla trekking. after the briefing you will be grouped into 8 people, allocated a different gorilla family to trek and a park guide who will be sharing information about the mountain gorillas and also well conversant with trails in the forest. during trekking you will have scenic views of plant species, birds, mammals, primates among others and once the mountain gorillas are found you will be allowed to spend one hour with them in their natural environment and during the one hour you will compare experiences with the previous gorilla family, lean about the gorillas habits, behaviors, take photos and record videos.
After the one hour you will trek back to the park headquarters where you will be awarded a certificate for participating in gorilla trekking, meet up with your driver guide and start the journey to Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale which is the second deepest lake in Africa. The journey takes about 3 hours drive and upon arrival you will go for boat cruise on Lake Bunyonyi in a dugout canoe. During the boat cruise you will have views of some of the 29 islands on the lake, have scenic views of terraced farmlands, beautiful landscapes, scenery, local people, bird species, animals among others. After the boat cruise you will drive to the lodge for an evening relaxation, dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Departure to Kampala
On the last day of the 4 days Uganda double gorilla trekking safari, you will have a relaxed breakfast, check out of the lodge and your driver guide will pick you to start the journey to Kampala. You will have a stopover in Mbarara for lunch and another stopover at the Equator where you will take photos, buy souvenirs and then continue the journey to Kampala. Upon arrival you will either be dropped off at Entebbe international airport or at any place of convenience.
