Detailed Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer from Kampala / Entebbe to Kibale forest national park
Transfer from Kampala/Entebbe to Kibale forest national park: On day 1 of 7 days Uganda Rwanda wildlife and primate safari, you will be picked from your location in Kampala /Entebbe as communicated previously then be driven to Kibale forest national park with an enroute lunch. Upon park arrival, you will head to the lodge for check in, dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale and connect to Queen Elizabeth national park
Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale forest national park: Enjoy your breakfast early in the morning on day 2 of 7 days Uganda Rwanda wildlife and primate safari, pack some snacks and water then meet your safari driver and be transferred to the park headquarters in Kanyanchu for a briefing before penetrating the forest to start trekking chimpanzees. Once the briefing is done, you will start the search of these gentle giants in kibale forest while encountering other primates since the park harbors 13 primate species, mammals, birds and many more that will be encountered during chimpanzee trekking. The trek will take you about 2-4 hours and one hour of close viewing the chimpanzees in their natural habitats and finally trek back to the park headquarters to meet your safari driver and be returned to the lodge for lunch.
Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park: Later in the afternoon, check out of the lodge and meet your safari driver who will be waiting for you and start a drive to Queen Elizabeth national park which is about 2 hours’ drive from Kibale forest national park. Expect to get to Queen Elizabeth late in evening for lodge check in, dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise in Queen Elizabeth national park
Morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth national park: After breakfast on day 3 of 7 days Uganda Rwanda wildlife and primate safari, you will head out for a half day game drive early in the morning in Kasenyi plains which is the most visited sector in Queen Elizabeth national park that harbors a largest population of wildlife species. During game drive, you will be able to encounter with Lions, Giraffes, Elephants, Buffaloes, Uganda Kob, warthogs, antelopes, bushbucks and many other wildlife that thrill in Kasenyi plains. After enjoying the game drive, you will be returned to your lodge to have lunch.
Afternoon boat cruise on Kazinga channel: Later in the afternoon, by 2 pm be at kazinga channels ready for a breath taking boat cruise while viewing several wildlife both in the kazinga channel and along the shores. Amongst the wildlife spotted during boat cruise include Crocodiles, Hippos, Elephants, Buffaloes and plenty of water birds among others. Head to your lodge later in the evening for dinner and overnight sleep.

Day 4: Tree climbing lions and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park
Tree climbing lions in Ishasha sector: On day 4 of 7 days Uganda Rwanda wildlife and primate safari, wake up for breakfast then check out of the lodge and be transferred to Ishasha sector with a packed lunch. While in Ishasha sector, you will enjoy a game drive in search of tree climbing lions which are usually seen hanging in acacia and fig tree branches overlooking the Uganda kob and targeting the next meal. You will be amused by a stunning encounter with the king of jungle in the tree branches and a view of the entire Ishasha sector. Another destination where one can find tree climbing lions in the whole world apart from Queen Elizabeth national park is Lake Manyara national park in Tanzania. After game drive, enjoy a picnic lunch under tree shade.
Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park: After enjoying your picnic lunch, exit Queen Elizabeth national park and start a drive to Bwindi impenetrable national park in the extreme south western corner of Uganda the pearl of Africa where you are expected to arrive late in the evening, proceed for a lodge check in, dinner and overnight sleep.

Day 5: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park
Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park: On day 5 of 7 days Uganda Rwanda wildlife and primate safari, have an early breakfast then pack all requirements for gorilla trekking in Bwindi and meet your driver to be transferred to the park headquarters for a briefing. After briefing, hire a porter or 2 and then be led into the impenetrable forest to start the search of endangered mountain gorillas. The trek will take you a few minutes to almost 7 hours or entire day until you finally land on these primates then spend only one hour of close interaction and return to your lodge later on for a relaxed evening or opt for a Batwa experience.

Day 6: Drive to Volcanoes national park Rwanda
Drive to Volcanoes national park: On day 6 of 7 days Uganda Rwanda wildlife and primate safari, arise in full energy at the sun rise, have your breakfast served at leisure then check out of the lodge and exit Bwindi impenetrable national park to start the drive to Kigali Rwanda with an enroute lunch. Upon arrival in Rwanda, you will proceed to Volcanoes national park where you will check in for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Golden Monkey trekking in Volcanoes national park and departures
Golden monkey trekking in Volcanoes national park: After breakfast on day 7 of 7 days Uganda Rwanda wildlife and primate safari , head out for a half day golden monkey trekking in Volcanoes national park that starts with briefing at park headquarters. After briefing, you will spend 2-3 hours searching for a habituated troop of Golden monkeys in the bamboo forest and upon finding them, spend one hour with them and exit the forest to return to the lodge for lunch.
Transfer to Kigali for departures: After lunch, you will check out of the lodge and meet your safari driver for a transfer from Volcanoes national park direct to Kigali international airport for departures. On this last day, your flight should be scheduled for a late evening or night flight.
