8 Days Uganda Gorilla Trekking, Chimpanzee tracking and Wildlife 

This 8 Days Uganda Safari, combining gorilla trekking, chimpanzee tracking, and wildlife viewing typically includes visits to Kibale Forest for chimpanzees, Queen Elizabeth National Park for wildlife , Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for gorilla trekking and visiting Lake Mburo National Park

Day 1: Transfer to Kibale National Park

You will be picked up by a company representative and then drive to Kibale National Park, which takes 5–6 hours, with lunch en route in Fort Portal, and then proceed to Kibale, arriving late in the evening. Dinner and overnight stay at Kibale Forest Camp  

Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking—Kibale forest

Take an early morning breakfast, go for briefing and start chimpanzee trekking. Kibale Forest National Park is one of the best safari destinations in Africa for chimpanzee tracking. Kibale’s 795 km² National Park contains one of the most beautiful and varied tracts of tropical forest in the whole of Uganda. This place is home to a number of forest wildlife, most especially 13 species of primate coupled with chimpanzees.

After trekking, you will have lunch and then visit Bigodi wetland where you will experience a lot of bird life and unspoiled nature! Later transfer back to the lodge for Dinner and overnight at above lodge

Day 3: Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast you will be transferred to Queen Elizabeth National Park, which takes 3 hours  on reaching go for a game drive in the Kasenyi area, where you will encounter African elephants, herds of buffaloes, eland, bushbuck topis, and warthogs, among others.

In the afternoon, you will go for a boat cruise down the Kazinga Channel for some more incredible game viewing. You will see countless hippos, buffalos and a vast array of birds, perhaps including the African Fish Eagle and shoebill stork. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight at the booked lodge.

Day 4: Ishasha Sector, Queen Elizabeth National Park

You will transfer to Queen Elizabeth’s southern Ishasha sector in the morning. This is a dry and wild savannah region, much less developed than the Mweya peninsula. The game viewing is very good and in particular the region is famed for its tree-climbing lions. Stay overnight the above

 Day 5: Lion tracking experience and transfer to Bwindi National Park

You will have the lion experience of the Ishasha sector seeing more lions and the elusive leopard. After exiting Queen Elizabeth National Park, you will be transferred to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, where you will arrive in the evening. Check in, unwind, dinner and overnight at your lodge

Day 6: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After an early morning breakfast, you will depart with your packed lunch and proceed to the park headquarters for briefing and take to the forest for gorilla trekking!  Gorilla Trekking can take an hour or four, depending on the movement of the gorillas.

The time remaining after visiting the gorillas can either be spent relaxing and remembering the trek or hiking in the foothills and visiting local communities. Dinner and overnight as above

Day 7: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

 After breakfast, embark on your journey to Lake Mburo National Park, arriving late afternoon. Rest for the evening and enjoy dinner. You will then go for a night game drive that promises sights of the hyena and leopard. Next, you will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 8: Return Back to Kampala. 

Enjoy breakfast and do a morning game drive as you exit the park. Embark on your journey back to Kampala with an en-route lunch, have a stopover on the equator for photographs, and then proceed to Kampala, where the driver will drop you at your hotel or Entebbe International Airport for  your onward flight.
